Alumina catalyst by sol-gel doped with Fe revealed to contain a mixture of three types of iron oxides mainly as spherical nanoparticles of 12.46±2.24 nm. For both aluminas, pure and doped with Fe, trichloroethylene combustion was conducted. The alumina doped with Fe showed a better catalytic activity than pure alumina.
