Microporous zeolites suffer from narrow micropores, which impose transport/diffusion limitations and provoke rapid deactivation. Desilication of dealuminated USY zeolites using single and mixture of organic tetraalkylammonium hydroxides has resulted in zeolites with substantial increase in mesoporsity and well preserved crystallinity and microposity.
