P-Tu-B-184 Tuning Catalytic Performance through a Single or Sequential Post-Synthesis Reaction in a Gas Phase

Surface structure/composition of two different types of bimetallic Pt-Cu nanocubes: flat shell and concave, are tailored by post-synthesis reaction of H2 and CO. The modified surfaces show significant difference in catalytic activity toward CO oxidation. Correlation between activity and surface chemistry is suggested through in-situ XPS, EXAFS, and DFT calculation.
