The hydrogenation of aromatics is of major importance in the refining industry due to the stringent environmental regulations. The catalytic hydrogenation of aromatics in diesel fuels was carried out over noble metal supported hierarchical USY of trimodal porosity; arising from the intrinsic micropores, intracrystalline mesopores (desilication), and cavities (dealumination).
