An important aspect to be evaluated in zeolites as catalysts for glycerol transformation is the overall effect of Brønsted acid sites strength on conversion, selectivity and stability. Thus, in this work we synthesized MFI zeolites containing gallium or aluminum atoms in order to tune the acid strength of Brønsted sites.
