A sustainable concept for the production of solar fuels is given by hydrogen generated via water electrolysis. This hydrogen can be converted to hydrocarbons and fuels using CO₂. It could be shown that several Fe-based catalysts with different Cu, Al and K content reach high CO₂ conversion in this reaction.
