P-Tu-B-109 New Insights into the Mechanism of Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) of NO By Supported V2O5 – WO3/TiO2 Catalysts

Coprecipitated 1%V2O5-5%WO3/TiO2 catalysts were compared with analogs prepared by incipient wetness for SCR of NO by NH3.  Both NH4+* and NH3* species chemisorbed on Brønsted and Lewis acid sites respectively react. For the first time, a deuterium kinetic isotope effect is observed for SCR with NH3 vs ND3.
