P-Tu-B-111 Effect of Biodiesel on the Aftertreatment System in a Heavy-Duty Truck: Influence of Na, K and P on Diesel Oxidation Catalyst

As part of an ongoing project aiming to develop a diesel oxidation catalyst that is optimized for biofuels, poisoning of bimetallic Pt/Pd DOC samples by potential biodiesel impurities Na, K and P was studied. Significant activity changes were observed. The poisoning procedure (impregnation or exposure to aerosol) affected the results.
