P-Mo-B-87 Biomimetic Graphene-Based Catalyst Design and Synthesis for Oxygen Reduction Reaction

The mystery of the bio-inspired non-precious-metal catalyst, based on metal-porphyrin-like moieties, is unraveled by combining first principles calculation and experiment. Square-pyramid FeNand square-planar CoN4 moieties are proved to surpass the catalytic activity on Pt (111) surface.
