Model and real pyrolysis vapors were passed over catalysts of varying acidity, which included zeolites as well as tungstated and sulfated metal oxides (ZrO2 and Al2O3).  The effects of acid type and loading, in addition to the role of hydrogenation metals, was examined on the slate of products.
