HCHO oxidation reaction over silicon series supported Au catalysts was investigated in the presence of water in order to develop a cost-effective HCHO removal catalytic system. Herein, we also present results of a comparative study on the catalytic properties of reducible/irreducible oxide supported gold catalysts for the HCHO oxidation.
