This work discusses NOx reduction by hydrocarbon over ceria in Diesel NOx after treatment by Adsorbed Intermediate Reductants (Di-Air) system . Ce3+ catalyzes NO decomposition to N2, while hydrocarbons deposit carbon species that maintain a reduced ceria surface state that promotes NO reduction.
