O-Tu-407-3 Methane to Methanol Conversion on Cu-SSZ-13, -SSZ-16 and -SSZ-39

Cu-SSZ-13, SSZ-16 and SSZ-39 zeolites showed direct conversion of methane to methanol yields as high as 39 µmol/gzeolite. UV-vis spectra are inconsistent with a mono-μ-oxo-dicopper complexes active site, but Raman spectra clearly show the presence of non-framework Cu-O bonds. The structure of this active site remains to be identified.
