O-Tu-406-12 Kinetics of Coke Oxidation over Cerium-Zirconium Mixed Oxides

The work identified the most active cerium-zirconium mixed oxide composition for coke oxidation (Ce0.8Zr0.2O2) and determined kinetic parameters that can be used for additional catalyst design for oxidation of solid carbon.  The results have direct relevance to coke oxidation in steam crackers and soot oxidation in diesel particulate filters.
