Ni/olivine with low nickel loading showed excellent CO2 methanation activity and stability. The interaction between NiO and the thermal induced high dispersed reducible FeOx during reduction leads to the formation of Ni-Fe alloy. Redox property of the support could greatly affect the catalytic activity, restrict sintering and deactivation by carbon-deposition.
