Catalytic partial oxidation of various kerosene-based surrogates, containing 1,2,4-trimethylbenzene, n-dodecane, and dibenzothiophene, with varying paraffin-to-aromatic ratio, was studied on a Rh/Al2O3 coated monolith at short contact times and high temperatures. In this study, syngas selectivity and catalyst deactivation was correlated to surrogate composition and sulfur content.
