Linear scaling relations are a powerful tool in understanding and improving catalysts. Adsorbate scaling is closely related to the surface-adsorbate bond order. TS structures can vary substantially and so may the nature of bonding. We investigated the effect of structure variation on TS scaling relations and developed predictive models.
