New Structured Catalysts with Enhanced MASS Transfer; Improve Selectivity

This work demonstrate that performance, and especially selectivity, of Pd catalyst for nitrite hydrogenation can be optimized by enhancing contact with both gas and liquid. Two approaches are reported: catalyst particles that are partially hydrophobic and partially hydrophilic, as well as by designing a catalytic membrane contactor.
