Operando electron microscopy is employed to visualize Pt nanoparticle catalyzing the oscillatory CO oxidation at atomic-resolution and ambient pressure.  The observations enable the description of the oscillatory reaction to be extended with site-specific catalytic information. Hereby the present approach bridges the so-called material and pressure gaps in catalysis research.
