Particle size of iron nanoparticles supported on carbon nanofibers was discovered to play an instrumental role in activity and lower olefins selectivity. With steady state isotopic transient kinetic analysis (SSITKA), CHx and H coverages were identified to be vital factors influencing catalytic activity and product selectivity in FTO respectively.
