On the Influence of Silver Species on Methanol Assisted Selective Catalytic Reduction of NOx over Silver/Alumina

Utilizing different preparation methods, lean NO_x reduction with methanol over Ag/alumina is investigated in relation to different silver species. The results show that silver species in the size range from small clusters to small nanoparticles promote low-temperature activity. Furthermore, selectivity to N₂ is favored by silver ions and small clusters.
