P-Tu-B-55 Production of Pure Hydrogen and Synthesis Gas with Cu-Fe Oxygen Carriers through Chemical Looping Methane Conversion

Two processes were studied for production of syngas and pure hydrogen from methane. The novel Cu-Fe oxides was used as the oxygen carrier for heat supply from chemical looping combustion and as a catalyst for methane conversion. The advantages of this catalytic process/system are combination of CO2 capture and shale gas conversion to useful chemicals.
