Long-chain terminal alcohols or aldehydes can be produced with high selectivity (ranged between 61 and 77 wt%) through “one-pot” heterogeneous CO hydrogenation. The straight aldehydes made up to 70~97% of the total oxygenates. The selectivity either to short-chain C2-C4 or long-chain C4+ fractions can be optimized.
