This research investigates the design of cascade catalytic systems employing heterogeneous catalysts for the selective hydrogenation of CO2 to methanol, dimethyl ether and hydrocarbons. We will highlight several examples, including heterogeneous and homo-/hetero-geneous systems. This work demonstrates a new paradigm for the design and demonstration of high performance catalysts.
