Increasingly we are using  catalysts that comprise multi-porous catalysts with micropores for enhanced  shape selectivity and mesoporousity to facilitate. This paper will demonstrate how the effective surface area calculations can be approached and how the actual sorption data can be analyzed to calculate an more realistic pore size distribution.
