Nopol is a primary bicyclic optically pure alcohol used in the fragrance industry. A comparison is shown of the solvent effect on nopol production over Sn-MCM-41 and Sn-SBA-15 catalysts in terms of TOF and DSC analysis. Sn-SBA-15 exhibits better performance for nopol production than Sn-MCM-41 with non – polar solvents.
