P-Tu-BRC-131 Effect of Preparation Method of Cu/ZnO Based Catalysts for Methanol Synthesis from CO2 Containing Syngas

Synthesized catalysts showed enhanced performance at even low ratio of CO/CO2 (=2) compared to the conventional catalyst. Optimum temperature of methanol synthesis was reduced by using Cu/ZnO/ZrO2/Al2Ocatalyst, which was prepared by oxalate gel-precipitation method. Addition of Zr to Cu/ZnO/Al2Ocatalyst improved the copper dispersion.
