The Nature of CO2 Adsorption Sites on Immobilized Amine Sorbents - An FTIR Study

FTIR was used to identify isolated amine sites as being responsible for the formation of weakly adsorbed -NHCOOH and NCOO^- species on immobilized amine sorbents used for CO₂ capture.  A fundamental understanding in the nature of CO₂ adsorption sites could assist in the development of highly efficient amine sorbents.
