NixSiBEA and NixHAlBEA showed good activity and high selectivity in the hydrodechlorination of 1,2-dichloroethane at 523 K. Selectivity to ethylene is very high for NixSiBEA and NixHAlBEA catalysts produce mainly vinyl chloride. The different behavior of these two types of catalysts is related to nature of nickel species and acidity.
