Improved Low-Temperature Activity of Ag-Alumina for Lean NOx Reduction – Effects of Ag Loading and Low-Level Pt Doping

Trace-amount platinum doped sol-gel synthetized Ag-Al₂O₃ was investigated as HC-SCR catalysts. The doping resulted in an increase in the low-temperature NO_x reduction activity and the improvement is most likely owing to an increased amount of partially oxidized hydrocarbon species on the catalyst surface.
