P-W-BRC-83 Perovskite LaxM1-XNi0.8Fe0.2O3 Catalyst for Steam Reforming of Tar: Effect of Alkaline Earth Metal Addition at Low Steam

LaNi0.8Fe0.2O3 catalyst has higher activity than La0.8Sr0.2Ni0.8Fe0.2O3 catalyst on steam reforming of toluene with higher steam. However, the trend is reversed at low steam due to stronger binding between water and Sr. This result shows that OH- group on La0.8Sr0.2Ni0.8Fe0.2O3 catalyst still exists at high temperature, where the reaction occurs.
