P-W-Cle-1 HRTEM of Pt-Au/C Catalysts

The present work explores the use of surface redox method for selectively depositing a second metal (Au) onto Pt particles, supported on a semi-amorphous carbon (Pt-Au/C). The results demonstrate that Au is reduced to metal, forming a crystalline phase in an intimate contact, without forming alloys.
