Direct epoxidation of propylene to form propylene oxide is a challenging reaction that remains to be accomplished with high selectivity. We aim to isolate and understand the impact of cesium, copper, butadine, and vinyl chloride.  Systematic use of promoters and promoter combinations holds promise to prepare catalyst with enhanced selectivity.
