Mono-, di- and tetramer manganese complexes of 1,4,7-triazacyclononane were immobilized onto supports to create a heterogeneous system.  Mesoporous silica was surface-modified with carboxylic acids that function both as tethers and co-catalysts.  Epoxidation/dihydroxylation of alkenes upon addition of H2O2 is compared as the alkene, Mn catalyst and acid co-catalyst were varied.
