O-F-BRB-7 Hydrogen via Photocatalysis with Metal-Nonmetal Binary Promoted TiO2

New binary promoted photocatalysts M-N-TiO2 (N=nitrogen, M=Cr, Mn, Fe, Co) are synthesized by sol-gel and calcination, characterized by Raman, UV-Vis DRS, BET, and tested for production of H2 from water with sustainable sacrificial donor, under standard conditions, near-UV/visible light, vs. P25 TiO2. Co-N-TiO2 is 3-fold more effective than P25 TiO2.
