CeOx/TiO2 catalysts were characterized using STEM/EELS that identified the presence of CeOx as 1D chains/clusters, 2D plates and 3D nanoparticles which provided insights to origins of catalytic activity in the WGS and H2O splitting. Behavior of the oxide components and the interface were revealed when under redox conditions using ETEM.
