Glucose oxidase enzyme was immobilized on a ferroelectric crystal substrate that can generate the acoustic wave resonance oscillation by electric power.  The resonance oscillation remarkably increased the enzyme activity for glucose oxidation, lowering the activation energy of the reaction. The artificial control of enzyme catalysis was demonstrated.
