Removal of trace amount of CO followed the redox mechanism: lattice oxygen in the catalyst reacted with CO in the olefin stream. Introduction of amorphous ZrO2 to CuO-ZnO catalyst improved the removal efficiency.Experimenatal investigation showed that it resulted in the improved dispersion of micro-CuO and synergistic effect between CuO and ZrO2.
