The role of Cu(I) cation inside zeolite Y, SSZ-13 and ZK-5 was studied for hydrogen adsorption at cryogenic and ambient temperatures. Cu(I) zeolites was found to adsorb more hydrogen than alkali exchanged zeolites at 303 K whereas at cryogenic temperature the adsorption capacities were slightly lower than Na zeolites.
