Olefins are important intermediates in a large number of industrial processes. The ODH of alkanes is highly desirable due to its potentially low environmental impact and the relatively low cost of raw materials. The addition of O2 to the reaction mixture allows for ODH and over appropriate catalysts can produce oxygenated compounds.
