Facile Preparation of Carbon-supported Cubic Platinum and the Shape Effect in Electrocatalytic Oxidation of Ammonia

The study develops a facile, surfactant-free, and scalable method for production of cubic Pt/C by hybridizing the conventional impregnation approach and the wet chemistry method. Electro-oxidation of ammonia using the cubic Pt/C exhibits significantly higher activity than Pt/C in other shapes, demonstrating a shape effect on the catalytic property.
