P-M-BRC-88 Hydrolysis of Cellobiose over Solid Acid Catalysts

Hydrolysis of cellobiose is studied over solid acid catalysts (functionalized activated carbon and amorphous silica-alumina). Hydrothermally stable solid acids are identified, and their acidity is characterized by Boehm titration. Reaction kinetics are analyzed using a fixed bed reactor setup.
