Kinetic Analysis of Electrochemical Oxygen Reduction and Development of Ag-alloy Catalysts for Low Temperature Fuel Cells

We have developed inexpensive AgCo and AgFe alloy catalysts for electrochemical oxygen reduction.  The alloy compositions were derived from a bottom-up approach utilizing density functional theory calculations and microkinetic modeling. We have experimentally demonstrated their high catalytic activity, and we have characterized them with CV, XRD, and STEM/EDS/EELS.
