O-Th-Com-18 CO Oxidation Activity of Au-Pd and Ag-Pd Bimetallic Cluster Catalysts

The catalytic CO oxidation was investigated on supported bimetallic (Au-Pd or Ag-Pd) and monometallic Pd catalysts. Both bimetallic catalysts show higher activity than Pd catalysts. Analysis results suggest the presence of the metallic Pd in Au-Pd or Ag-Pd alloys are important factors affecting the catalytic activity for these systems.
