Manganese based mixed oxides show comparable NO oxidation to NO2 activity to Pt based catalysts, showing a promise for PGM shriftting. The mixed oxides not only show high NO oxidation to NO₂, but also show high NO_x adsorption capacity under lean conditions, indicating a strong synergy between Manganese and Cerium.
