It is difficult for TWCs to achieve the light-offs below 200°C in practice. This study shows the understandings on deactivation and reactivation processes of model TWCs: Pd/Al2O3 and Pd/stabilized ceria-zirconia. It provides new insight into factors controlling light-off of TWCs subjected to various aging, pre-treatment, and evaluation conditions.
