This work studied the effect of the increase of surface area on NiCoMoS2-SiO2 catalysts on activity for the HDS of dibenzothiophene. For this purpose we selected SiO2 nanoparticles, Aerosil 200 and 380 in a 1Si:3Mo molar ratio and two types of activation where evaluated: in situ and ex situ.
