P-We-74 Structure-Deactivation Relationship for ZSM-5 Catalysts Governed by Framework Defects

The presented data in this contribution clearly show that the deactivation of ZSM-5 during methanol conversion to hydrocarbons takes place via coking at internal defects of MFI. The results may explain many of the apparently contradicting findings in the literature.
