OF08 Synthesis of Catalytic ‘Nanobowls': Toward Size- and Shape- Selective Catalysis

Atomic layer deposition of oxides is combined with organic templates to create controlled oxide domains and small 1-2nm voids on a support surface. Template design also allows single metals to be placed in the voids. These novel selective catalysts are characterized by TEM and other techniques.
