This work highlights the importance of understanding how spatiotemporal chemistry evolves as a function of reaction parameters and catalyst status to accurately predict LNT performance under relevant conditions. New experimental evidences are presented for phenomena such as NH3 adsorption and oxidation which can affect the axial distribution of NOx storage.
